In Addition to with the invent of social media where we can meet new people who share the same interest as we do, it is possible to meet our friends who are in different geographical location.

There is nothing wrong per say with internet as it is now, it is just like how the products are designed in this present world, it is made to allure you to buy more by making it you to covet it, cling and crave it. Websites for various tech giant are made to trigger you and to stay there longer periods than required for profit motive.

The responsibility is still on the users to use it for their advantage and to their betterment. There are lot of danger that comes from long hours staying in front of blue screen such causing low self esteem, it effects your sleep cycle, social anxiety, loneliness, brain fog, cognitive decline, weight gain.

One of the ways to escape from this by being mindful, to use mob, computer when it is required and when you use it mindfully when using it, because of unsolicited features of apps, there will be endless amount of content to be used and very much time left in life. One thing you could to do is being mindful, use cues to your advantage and first make up your mind that is in an addiction and you have to make changes by changing your identity, that you’re not the addict anymore but a normal person. When you change your identity you change the way you think and your attitude towards things.

The next step will be how to organise the process of changing your habit, you replace that habit with reading books, learning new musical instruments etc. You can use habit stacking method, one of the secrets to forming a good habit is to repeat an act or action few times and it becomes easy to do and make it interesting and attractive which will help you to carry these habits forward. Journaling your daily events also helps keeping track of new habits and how productive you are and you will be control our thoughts.

Powerful tool for freedom

Have you heard about discipline? Everyone must try to inculcate in themselves. We have dreams and desires we want to achieve. But only few of us like to grind our way up there.

Discipline is doing things even when you don’t long to do. Seems hard at times. But you do it even when you don’t feel like it, by doing it increases your mental toughness and callouses your mind and it makes you a strong person.

Never celebrate early, always have your eyes on the long-term goal you want to achieve and also be grateful of your achievement of your short term one’s. Being disciplined is not easy, but you should have a clear vision, that the thing you’re doing is not because people want you to do, but you’re doing doing it for yourself and enjoy doing it. Everything has a price and sacrifice and discipline is what you pay for freedom.

Always keep in mind, the activity what you’re doing will bring fruits to you in the future. But don’t worry about the fruit. Do your work and don’t think about the rewards. There is no substitute for hard work. Grind your way up there.

Imperfect Trees

This is a story of Norm born in the  city of Queenstown.

Norm is a timid person and had less self esteem. He was born in an household where his mother had 4 jobs and she was trying hard to end meet, and his father was a drunkard. Further more, his parents wouldn’t spend time with him and he had to do all his homework by himself. And he used to get punished at home for not doing his homework & getting low grades and at school he would get punished by his teachers for the same.

And it continued, he later developed inferiority complex and he was not able to learn properly in school and he would see himself as worthless human being, which impacted his academics, social life etc

Some of us have been in Norm shoes. Not that we had same school life or that our parents wouldn’t spend time with us. But inferiority complex is identical. We compare ourselves with our class mates, friends, cousins, peers at work and down value ourselves.

One day norm decided to go the forest in search of a perfect tree. All he saw was trees with missing branches and crooked trees. And he was not able to find a perfect tree in the forest. All he saw was crooked trees. And later he visited a park, he saw the trees arranged in an array and were all perfect. Moreover, he felt that the tree in the forest where more beautiful and pleasant than the trees in the park. He later realised that so called ‘Imerfect Trees’ where the most beautiful than the artificial one’s in the park. Then, he also understood that so called ‘Imperfect’ people are more beautiful than artificial people. He understood the real meaning of perfection. He had been a long time ‘good enough’. Only in the forest he  realized it.

Fear

Fear is the most Dreaded feeling ever. We all fear of something in our lives. And it is the most common feeling that everyman feels.

Despite the normality of this feeling, we hesitate and become reluctant in pursuit of goals, doing tasks, or engage in an endeavor which will be fruitful in time to come.

The Myth needs to be dispelled to achieve one’s true potential. Fear is just a feeling. It’s not extraordinary. Why we feel afraid is because of the fear of failure and generally our brain is programmed in a way that if we are doing anything for the first time the brain doesn’t know how to react and we become anxious etc. Even if you have performed an act on the stage for thousand times, the next time you perform on stage  you get chills, you get feeling of nervousness. We have to come to terms with it. With constant Reps we can transcend it.  That’s the only way to transcend fear. And just do it, don’t over think about it. Just like the saying ”beauty is in the eyes of the beholder’, You can alter Your experience however you want  it to be, next time when you experience fear just say thank you fear for choosing me, I’m lucky to have this feeling, I’m going enjoy this moment and go for it. It’s just a feeling like happiness, angry, sadness etc

Fear is finding fault with the future. When you’re at peace with fear, fear disappears.
